What Does Constipation Really Mean? (And Why 90% of Women Are Silently Suffering From It)

Beautiful woman,

Let’s talk about something we all experience, but almost no one talks about honestly: constipation.

But wait — before you say “That’s not me” — let me tell you something most doctors (and wellness blogs) never explain clearly:

🌿 If you’re not having one full bowel movement after each meal — plus one more in the morning — your colon is backed up.

Yes, that means 3 meals = 4 poops per day. And if you're only going once? Or even once every few days? Your body is holding on to way more than you think.

Let’s break it down gently, with a little wisdom and a lot of love:

💩 What Is Constipation, Really?

True digestion doesn’t mean your food simply disappears.

When you eat a meal, your body extracts nutrients chemically — not by absorbing food chunks into your blood (no tomatoes floating in your veins, promise 😅).

What gets absorbed is the juice of the food — the enzymes, minerals, vitamins — all broken down by the pancreas, liver, and gallbladder.
But the rest? The fiber, the metabolic waste, the unusable bulk? That needs to come out.

And for every gram of food you eat, there should be a gram of waste released.

And it should happen 30–45 minutes after a meal if your colon is in rhythm.

Plus, every morning you should eliminate what your body processed overnight — old waste, broken cells, toxins, and residue from the day before.

If this isn’t happening?

Your colon is storing more than just yesterday’s lunch.

😶 How Many Are Constipated (Really)?

I’ve been asking this question to nearly every single person I’ve worked with for the past two decades.

And here’s my own statistic based on thousands of conversations:

💔 90% of people are constipated.

Even if they think they’re regular.

Why does it matter?

Because your colon isn’t just a trash chute — it’s your emotional and chemical factory.

🧠 A Clogged Colon Affects Your Mood, Too

Here’s something most people never realize:

🧬 Around 80% of your neurotransmitters are made in the gut.

So if you’re walking around with old, fermenting, acidic waste in your colon, you’re also walking around with…

  • Foggy thoughts

  • Low moods

  • Bad decisions

  • Chronic frustration

  • Anxiety and depression that seem to come from nowhere

Not because you're broken — but because your colon is simply overloaded.

You don’t need medication — you need elimination.
